              It is a safe and virtually painless non-surgical method of treating spider veins . It involves injecting a mild sclerosing solution into the affected vein causing the lining of the vein to collapse , the vein will then be dissolved by the body , once the unhealthy vein has been destroyed the blood will then be rerouted to the healthy veins restoring proper circulation .

• What to expect after Sclerotherapy

             Approximately 2-3 weeks after injection you will begin to see a change in color from deep blue to pink which will gradually fade until the veins become invisible . The length of treatment varies between patients .

You would also expect to have temporary pressure dressing applied for a few days , support hose should be worn to help prevent future discoloration.
